Current transformers deliver a standardized current to the secondary proportional to the primary current and adapted to the rating of the associated device. They are equipped as standard with removable terminal covers and double terminals allowing the secondary to be short-circuited without risk. They are fixed by two metal screw-on tabs, or some, by a clip-on DIN rail fixing. Connections are made by screws or fast-on lugs.
