The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for in-line installation. It features an internal bypass and has a frame size of S2 with an IP00 rating. The current ratings vary depending on the load, with light load at 229 Amp, medium load at 194 Amp, heavy load at 157 Amp and severe load at 124 Amp. The supply voltage range for the EMX4i is 200-525 Volt AC, while the control voltage is 24 Volt AC/DC. This soft starter offers a wide range of motor control features including constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse) and inside delta (6 wire) control. In terms of motor protection, the EMX4i provides protection against motor thermistor faults, current imbalance, under/over current conditions, phase sequence issues, phase loss and power loss. It also includes emergency run mode and run simulation with real-time performance graphs. For simplified management, the EMX4i offers SCR fail power through operation and daily on/off scheduling. It can support additional functionality through the use of an I/O smart card or communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, it can be used with a dedicated keypad connector card for advanced functionality. To facilitate parameter upload and download, the EMX4i is equipped with a USB port and data logging capabilities.
